The internet has become the primary source of information for your constituents.  As such, expectations of their local municipal website continue to grow, as they want to be able to obtain more information and conduct more business online – with quick access via computers, tablets or smart phones.  Your website would include the following features designed to enhance the communications between the city and those you serve.

  • Email Notifications:  Visitors may sign up for numerous list serves to be directly informed via email of News, Board Minutes and Board Agendas‚Äč
  • Urgent Alert Banners:  Available on both the Municipal Home Page and each Department/Board Page; each may be made subscribeable for email broadcast (ie. Health Alerts, Recreation Notices)
  • RSS Feeds: Each webpage come standard with RSS Feeds and can be linked to constituent RSS Readers
  • Rotating Bulletin Boards:  Available on both the Municipal Home Page and each Department/Board Page; Each bulletin easily made clickable to a dedicated page for additional content.
  • “Share This Page”  Options:  Our CMS easily allows visitors to send any page to another person via email or hundreds of other social media tools
  • Twitter: Our CMS is integrated with Twitter to allow postings to simultaneously go out as a tweet while also posting to the website.  Conversely, twitter feeds can also be embedded onto a webpage if that is preferred.
  • Facebook:  Similar to Twitter, postings can be set up to simultaneously post to a Facebook Wall while also posting to the website.  Conversely, Facebook Walls can also be embedded onto a webpage if that is preferred.
  • Embedded Videos:  Recognizing there is a clear trend towards increased utilization of informational and instructional videos to convey municipal business (Health Alerts, Building Permit Process, Recreation Activities, etc.) our CMS has the ability to easily embed videos right onto our web pages.  No need to hop to a different server (You Tube) to view.  (We do expect a significant uptick in the use of these types of videos at the municipal level).
  • Two-Way Blogging:  Our CMS provides the ability for moderated two-way blogging at the municipal and/or board level.  Of course, this feature can be restricted from use if so deemed by the client!
  • Web Forms:  As municipal services continue to evolve, more and more information will be captured and submitted online.  Unlike FirstClass, our integrated web forms contain a back-end database that allows for easy data manipulation, download or export.
